Germany's Sustainable Solutions: a Shift to Renewable Energy

Germany has taken the plunge with its recent decision to phase out nuclear energy and build offshore wind farms that will cover an area six times the size of New York City. Not since War II has Germany undertaken a reconstruction of its energy sector on this scale.

We discuss Germany's solutions for a sustainable future with Prof. Dr. Claudia Kemfert, Head of Energy Department at the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW economic institute in Berlin).
